For Your Information

  • According to regulation, each assignment is subject to a mileage and travel time charge. However, these charges are inclusive in the rate provided and agreed prior to the commencement of Service. We reserve the right to amend these charges in accordance with any future regulation from time to time imposed and written notice will be given in such circumstances setting out the required changes and the cost implication to You
  • Whilst charges levied are inclusive for the most part, in some circumstances where distance travelled is considerably over the norm additional charges may be made, but these will be discussed prior to commencement of service with individual Service Users and/or their families
  • As a general rule Assessments are not charged. However, in some exceptional circumstances where a care package does not proceed due to a change in mind for example or where an assessment is requested as an investigative measure a charge of £80.00 plus expenses will be levied
  • In the event of severe weather conditions, for example snow, ice, flood, creating difficulty in getting to or from a property, it may be that an assignment or assignments may have to be cancelled or shortened and priority will be given to those who have no other support and who for reasons of frailty, disability or illness cannot fend for themselves. If a visit has to be shortened, the charges may not be reduced due to the additional time spent in accessing the property as a direct result of adverse weather conditions. You will be notified in advance of the charges to be levied on an individual basis taking into account your specific circumstance, postal address and need
  • In the case of appointments, shopping, meal, theatre trip or other accompanied outing the normal hourly rates will apply and additional charges may be levied for mileage and travel time. All carer expenses during such outings must be paid as and when they are incurred and all receipts will be retained and made available on request
  • All review meetings are charged at the rate of £80.00 based on a one hour meeting time
  • Administration charges are made for time spent when organising appointments, medication deliveries, additional correspondence or any additional time incurred over and above the norm and the agreed care times
  • Medication box supplied will be charged at £20 on next invoice.
  • All Public and Bank Holidays will be charged at twice the normal weekend rate. We understand that many of our service users may wish to be away over these holiday periods either in whole or in part and so holiday schedule requests will therefore be sent out prior to the Christmas and Easter break for you to complete showing any changes in requirements
  • In the event of cancellation of an individual visit you will be charged for the assignment in full if less than 14 days’ notice is received for either weekday or weekend calls
  • Should you become unwell, have a fall or require an ambulance for any reason a member of the team will be happy to stay with you to ensure your safety until help or a family member arrive to support you, and this will be charged at the standard hourly rate at the time. Additionally, should it be necessary for a senior to attend a meeting with an Occupational Therapist, District Nurse, or other regarding your care, this too would be charged at the standard hourly rate.
  • We will invoice you monthly in arrears for the services you receive
  • Prices are subject to annual review – and at other intervals if there is a change to the service and/or a change is necessary to comply with any applicable safety, regulatory or statutory requirements and/or the cost of providing the Service increases
  • No VAT is payable on care services received
  • Payments can be made via BACS, or by Cheque
